Ken Jansen was instrumental in leading our home buying process. Not only did he fulfill the common realtor activities we all expect, but he went far beyond to add true value every step of the way. Ken's experience and diverse skill-set proved key to the successful purchase of our home. Ken worked with my wife and I to help us understand the current market and determine our wants and needs before we even started our search. We then jointly identified homes that paralleled our pre-search discussion. Ken's interest in technology and use the latest realtor tools shined as he provided detailed listings and communication with us that accented our search process. As we visited possible homes Ken provided guidance on every imaginable angle to the home choice. His attention to detail enabled our decision making process by clearly understanding the connection between the offering and our needs. Because of Ken's planning we found and offered on a home our very first day of searching.
Ken Jansen leverages technology to gain an edge in the search process. He provided online listings and communication with us. In addition, Ken electronically mapped our search route to make efficient use of our time. As we selected a home to make an offer, Ken provided a Competitive Market Analysis that graphed comparable sales in the area. This analysis further broke down square footage, price and other variables. The data doesn't lie! Our offer was accompanied by Ken's research which resulted in the seller accepting and requiring them to bring $27K to the closing table. My wife and I were able to buy an incredible home thousands below the asking price with Ken's diligence and experience.

Dear Home Buyer,
If you are reading this letter, you are already on the right track.
Our move from San Diego back to Kansas City was destined to be one of the most difficult things we had ever done. Two new schools, two new career changes, and finding a new home in the right neighborhood all seemed very daunting. However, finding Ken Jansen and having him as our realtor immediately eased the transition.
Ken is a remarkable person and an even better realtor. He does something that a lot of realtors and businesses fail to do. He Listens! Ken was always very receptive to our inputs and never once tried to coerce us into a deal. He worked diligently to find us the right home and in a short time found us the home of our dreams.
I can not recommend Ken Jansen highly enough. It is impossible to rate him on any scale, because he far surpasses any standards that you might use. With out a second of hesitation, I would recommend Ken to anyone looking for a home and if we move in the future, I will definitely seek his services again.
Sincerely,
|

Dear Home Buyer,
As fate would have it, after a short stay in Kansas City our careers sent us back to San Diego, CA. Two moves in 13 months can spell disaster, unless you have the right team working for you.
Because Ken Jansen did such a phenomenal job at helping us find our home, we asked him to help us sell our home as well. Just like the first time, Ken listened to our concerns, worked tirelessly researching the market, and in one day had our house sold for the price we were asking for.
Ken is not just a real estate agent or realtor, but instead a trusted advisor that you can lean on during what is often a very scary experience. His knowledge of the real estate market, outstanding customer service, and relentless pursuit of flawless execution makes him a resource you can not do with out.
I highly recommend that you ask Ken Jansen to help you with your next transition.
Sincerely,
Patrick S. Houlahan

Despite having lived in the Kansas City metro area in the past, we were surprised to see how much had changed when we decided to return in early 2005. One of our first major decisions, and quite possibly one of the most important, involved selecting Ken Jansen to represent us as we searched for a home. Throughout our very first conversation with Ken, my wife and I got the feeling that he was sincerely interested in working on our behalf and would listen intently even when we seemed to ramble senselessly. After ironing out the preliminary details we decided it was time to look at several potential houses.
Understanding that we had both recently started new jobs, Ken worked hard to setup appointments that fit within our busy schedule. Our search began to narrow after we had looked at a number of properties. In doing so, we quickly came to realize that many of the houses that we liked did not remain on the market for an extended period of time. In more than one instance we called Ken in the afternoon and he setup an appointment for that same night. Ultimately, we feel that Ken’s professionalism and work ethic helped us find a property that both my wife and I are very pleased with. We would highly recommend selecting Ken as your real estate professional and cannot emphasize enough how happy we are with the way the entire process was handled from beginning to end.
Sincerely,

Ken Jansen was our Listing Agent for selling our home in Shawnee, KS. He was in charge of actively marketing our home to the Kansas City marketplace. Ken also coached us on the ''rules'' of a real estate and marketing a home. Ken Jansen is a very professional Real Estate Agent. He has a very good knowledge of the Kansas City real estate market. Ken's suggestion to ''tour homes'' and view the competition was one great idea. We were able to see homes in the area of ours and also in a similar price range. This provided us with the proper insight to marketing our home. Ken's recommendations on how to arrange the house was very helpful. His marketing plan of photos, web page, and video were all professionally completed, and the final display products gave a favorable light to our home. The entire process (of getting situated to sell) seems to take a long time in preparation. In retrospect, it was just good planning on Ken's part. I would have never guessed that the market is only a 2-week window for initial home viewing. The 2-week window was all it took, and we had an offer on our home and made a successful closing. I would recommend Ken Jansen to anyone who is listing their home for sale.

Ken provided comprehensive service- he really took care of everything in the sale of my home. Ken not only marketed my home (with its own website, sharp looking flyers, and virtual tours) but he also went above and beyond by providing staging advice, helping me locate reliable handy people to do touch-up work, and helping me make sense of the data about market conditions hed found to help me set an appropriate price.
The sale of my home could not have been better. This was the first time Id ever sold a house and I had to sell in a buyers market, so I was (of course) a basket case. Ken was always confident and reassuring while still helping me to set sensible priorities. I went into this full of doubt and baffled by the number of choices I had to make (including choosing the right real estate agent), and was really thrilled with the result. Ken always looked out for my interests and got the job done.

Ken was my realtor. However, as I was a first time home buyer from out of state, he served as my personal representative on multiple occasions. Ken essentially did it all for me. After finishing up my postdoctoral fellowship I was offered a job in KC. In North Carolina, I wanted to buy a home prior to moving. After an outstanding recommendation from a friend I contacted Ken to help me with the whole process. I had been wary of using agents in the past, but I felt immediately comfortable with Ken. Not only his professionalism, but with his outstanding attention to detail. Ken was able to assess my needs and found me my dream place after only a couple days in town to look at properties. As I was out of state and buying into a new construction, there were a plethora of details needing oversight. Ken was invaluable in negotiating the often confusing process and made the experience smoother than I ever could have imagined. He navigated me through the whole process, and his assistance extended well beyond the offer and acceptance. I cannot recommend Ken highly enough and will continue to recommend him to all of my colleagues.

To Whom It May Concern:
I cannot say enough about Ken Jansen and his qualifications to sell your home or assist you in finding your new home. Ken is a dear friend, and my agent for life.
I met Ken thru my husband Todd. Todd worked for Pulte Homes and Ken was a selling agent for them. Upon meeting Ken, you know that you are coming in contact with a genuine, honest man. His smile tells you all you need to know. Ken helped us find our first home. Even though he wasn’t in the business to sell other real estate, he helped us to find a great neighborhood and it just happened to be down the street from his own home.
Ken left Pulte to pursue other professional goals and I know that he has been very successful in doing so. We have wished the best for him.
Todd and I built our second home and after three years there, it was time for a change. My husband Todd, had passed away from cancer, I was getting re-married and moving to Arizona. There wasn’t any discussion of who to contact in regards to selling my home. I knew that Ken would be the person to call. He would know the personal attachment I had to my home and how difficult it would be for me to leave it.
When I contacted Ken about selling my home, he was on the ball from the start. He was very direct about the market, what was selling and what wasn’t, what our competition would be and what to expect throughout the process. He made suggestions for making the house marketable, and helped us price the house to sell. Ken also made sure that there were plenty of fliers in the sign box so that people could have access to the information. His home page for the house was great and we received a lot of traffic from that! If I called Ken for any reason, he returned my call more promptly than I expected.
During our selling process, our date to move had been moved up. I had no concerns about leaving my house in Ken’s hands and moving without my house being sold. Ken called after every showing and told me how it had gone. My house sold while I was on my honeymoon! Ken faxed me the contract in Maui, I signed it and it was a done deal!
The closing process couldn’t have gone any smoother. Ken took care of every detail. All I had to do was show up and sign the paperwork.
As my move to Arizona will only be for a few years, the person I will be calling for my next home in Kansas City is Ken Jansen. Not because he is a dear friend, but because I trust him to have my family’s best interest in mind!
Sincerely,
Julie B. Lenz
